6-30-2016.pngSeventy percent of U.S. office workers and managers work more than 40 hours a week, and the majority consider the office the most productive place to complete tasks, according to a recent survey from Staples Business Advantage.

However, Staples’ business-to-business division also cautions that employers need to ensure the workplace remains a motivating, positive environment, because working longer hours is affecting employees: 64 percent of respondents said their workplace has contributed to stress, and nearly half said feeling overworked has prompted them to look for another job.

Thirteen percent have actually taken a stress-related workplace leave of absence.
