Your office environment could help attract top talent

Natural light, easily reconfigurable spaces and creative imagery are employees’ most-desired office design elements, according to a new survey.

Offering a workspace that features modern office design components may help spur employees’ imagination. Seventy-nine percent say it inspires innovation; 83 percent of employees feel they have their best ideas in flexible work spaces.

An inventive office environment can also be a helpful recruiting tool. When considering a new job, two out of three full-time professionals believe that workplace design and environment are equally or more important than an employer’s physical office location.

Even more executive-level workers — three out of four, or 76 percent — say workplace design is as or more important than office location.
