Sixty percent say being tired at work has negatively impacted their performance, according to a new CareerBuilder survey. Twenty-five percent of workers feel it has hurt their productivity; 27 percent say sleep deprivation has had a detrimental effect on their motivation.

Just seventeen percent of workers get eight hours of sleep; half get five to seven hours, on average, a night.

One in five tired workers say they’ve called in sick so they can get some extra shut-eye.
