Mergers, acquisitions and divestitures are the most pronounced workforce mobility game changers, according to a new global survey from Weichert Workforce Moblilty.
Fifty-five percent of responding companies found the three elements to be a potential point of concern during 2015. Forty-two percent anticipated the same situation would occur this year.
Because of uncertainty surrounding which organization’s policy will take precedent in the future, Weichert notes mergers and acquisitions — in addition to positive outcomes such as market expansion — can potentially create confusion and cause mobile employees to become concerned their role may change, prompting attrition.
