stock-photo-people-education-and-high-sc-1833818.pngGeneration Z, scheduled to start entering the workplace in earnest in 2017, has work preferences that more closely echo Generation X employees, instead of what millennials want, according to new research.

The study, from communications-as-a-service provider 8x8, Inc., found Gen Z members are less tech dependent than millennials and use face-to-face communication more than any other generation, including Generation X employees.

The items Gen Z prefers to use to perform work also differ. The majority of millennials say they want tools that will save them the most time; Gen Z, on the other hand, wants to use the most effective tools, even if it takes more time.

Find out more about how Gen Z’s preferences differ from other generations by downloading 8x8’s report.
