Spending and automation are expected to increase
Three-quarters of HR executives and managers in the U.S., U.K. and Germany say the tech solutions they currently use haven’t provided optimal results — threatening their company’s ability to attract and retain talented employees, according to a recently released report.
Eighty-seven percent feel, however, that a digital transformation in HR is occurring.
Today, 23 percent of HR departments still use manual, Excel- or paper-based systems as their primary method for handling recruiting tasks. Thirty-one percent control career management services with a manual HR process.
Within the next two years, though, approximately 78 percent of HR departments expect to use machine learning in at least one HR process.
Fifty-seven percent of HR executives and managers say they plan to increase their IT budgets by as much as 10 percent over the next two years; a quarter plan to increase their budget by a larger amount.
