Tech expertise can make employees more marketable

However, 10 percent of companies say they’ve laid employees off due to new technology.

Nearly 15 percent of workers are nervous their current role won’t exist in five years due to tech changes. Yet 90 percent say they are willing to adapt their skills to changing workplace technologies.

Robotics and other forms of automation are the most commonly adopted type of emerging technology, according to the survey. Nearly one in five businesses have already implemented some forms of automation.
