The biggest cybersecurity threats are inside your company

jefferson-santos-9SoCnyQmkzI-unsplash-1Organizations across a range of verticals have experienced various types of cyberthreats over the past year, according to new research; malware and ransomware attacks are the most common.

Compromised devices pose the second most significant threat, according to the IT professionals that participated in the survey. Forty percent said their organization had experienced issues due to web-based vulnerabilities.

While external cyberattacks were responsible for 17 percent of the incidences, malicious insiders (30 percent) and human error (25 percent) were actually identified as the top sources of cybersecurity threats.

Only 23 percent of IT professionals believe employees clearly understand cyberthreats and their role in preventing them.
